Hak'u beast help

I have the Hak'u Ceremonial Blade and have now equiped it with every chacter in my group including Taar but I keep getting killed all members. Is there a way to kill this beast? What tactic should I be trying? I have now tried over 10 times to kill the beast with every charcter having the blade equiped but with no luck. I really could use some advice on what to do to kill him.

Hm... I did this quest once, on Veteran difficulty. I equpied Hak'u Blade to my warrior, and other characters were using normal weapons. Beast had about 40k of HP's but all of damage (magic, and normall weapons) pass through it's magic, and I slayed it without much trouble.

Give the blade to only one character. And oreder rest, to attack normally. I hope it will be helpful.

I am glad ya beat him. I have a Warrior level 12 who has the blade and Dreu level12 marksman, Lothar level 7 soilder and Taar level 12 magician and still cannot defeat the beast. Ihave Dreu and Taar set to auto cast heal also but no matter what I try keep getting killed. I hurt the beast some what has over 3k hp and get him down to about 2k but then all die on me. I have tried now liek over 20 times to kill him but without luck. Do I need to just go on killing other creatures maybe till around level 20 (lol) so can have a chance to kill this beast? Any help or ideas what I might be doing wroung? Well I guess just keep trying, I know dieing is part of the games but this one is rediculous. cannot believe that at my charters levels cannot defeat him.

Oh well hopfully someone has an idea. Good gamin to all.

well try hit and run if u are low lvl and use potions too
Being lvl 20 would help too

Thank you I finally beat him. Had to do like ya said hit and run but got him.

I found that to beat the Hak'u beast, you just need to use the Blade with one hit to clear the magic barrier. After that, use your normaly attack can still do harm on it.(But it still shows "You need to equip a special weapon...") Then that make the battle easier.

I don't know it's just a bug or it's really like that..., or everyone already know that
