Finishing Mercenary

All my primary and secondary quest are done.

I killed valdus before doing some secondary, but now it's saying that I still need finish the merc part before advancing to veteran.

Ideas?

I was wondering if the fact that I've instaled the patch after compleating some quest has anything to do with this.

BTW do I have to finish the mysterious quest? It's not listed in the quest book...

your autosave may be corrupt or you're playing MP or something nobody other than you knows (more info about your game config is needed if you want your q to be answered without too much guessign).

it won't hurt to kill Valdis again. A waste of like 30 minutes or 1hour... but nice drops for free.

if you're not done with the mysterious quest, you're not done with all quests. it's mysteriously hidden in our journal.

Sorry for asking the obvious - but are you trying to start Veteran with a new character or the one you used to finish the first?
Because you need to use the character that finished the first game to be able to start a game on higher difficulty.

Yep same character, checked the logs(quest) book several times.

I have almost gone all the way through the map again looking for unfinished things to do, but nothing!
