The weapon has to be enchantable, and you have to go to the enchanting merchant.

normal tems

is there any use for the normal items? the ones that are neither enchantable nor have any magical suffixes or prefixes, they are just plane ordinary items with absolutely nothing special. what good are they? (the most useless would be the normal rings and amus which have no bonuses at all)

theres the procedure...

ok...to enchant an item first u need to have a ENCHANTABLE ITEM (either you find it or bought it from the magic shop) ... in the ENCHANTER dialogue you choose "ENCHANT ITEM FOR ME PLEASE" ... and on the right side of the screen appear a field where u must place your ENCHANTABLE ITEM and then another field will appear in which u must place your reagents....the capacity of the second field depends on the quality of your enchantable item...could be GOOD, GREAT, EXCEPTIONAL or LEGENDARY....the greatest recepies of course are made by LEGENDARY ENCHANTABLE ITEMS as u have the biggest place to put reagents....good luck with that...i cant think of MORE DETAILED explanation of "HOW TO ENCHANT SOMETHING?" subject :P

As mentioned above you must have an enchantable item, if you would put one inside the item square (take a look at lesson 28 of the hadbook) the reagent box will open then.

Not every item is enchantable, enchantable items have a grey-colored item name, also the description carries the expression 'enchantable' - if you take an item with a different colored label it won't work.

well 1 more thing that i forgot!...

hey pal...actualy there is 1 more thing i remember now ... after you select ur ENCHANTABLE ITEM and place it in the box... you can put ONLY certain reagents with certain items... i remember that as i was trying to make LEGENDARY RING full of Vampire Jaw for health steal and message appear that I CANT MIX THIS REAGENT WITH THIS PARTICULAR ITEM... so theres another reason WHY u cant place ur reagents in the box..... not all reagents work with ANY TYPE of item... i think the have very nice explanation in the walkthrough of this gamebanshee site... u can check section REAGENTS... good luck
