| To me, the Fist of Stone in a four character party has advantages and disadvantages
- your melee capability is less than with a pure melee character
- your healing and defensive nature mage skills mean you more or less have one and a half nature mages, whilst still being able to deal out some (admitedly lower) damage
- you add a few extra skills/powers that are specific to the Fist of Stone
- because your skill points have to be split over 3 categories you will naturally not advance as fast in each category as with a single category character...
It's not worse or better, it's simply another way to configure your group and makes you think a bit more about how you will face different situations. The same principals apply to the Blood Assassin.
In DS, LOA and DS2 my parties of 6 have tended to be 3 melee, and one of each of the other classes. However, I suspect when I've worked up to the 6 character game in Broken world I'll try it with Melee, Ranged, Nature Mage, Combat Mage, Fist of Stone and Blood Assassin just to see how it pans out.
Just enjoy the game! |
