Very Frustrated

after many tries,I am still hung up in the "Puzzle Dungeon" of Dungeon Siege

I managed to get to the bottom chamber,housing several warriors,some trunks,and a small side room. Upon entering-I destroyed the warriors then I pulled the first lever down and nothing happened I then pulled the seond lever down in the small room--the center pressure plate dropped down a few inches. from that point on after numerous tries-I coul not access an exit out of this chamber-any help is very appreciated-thanks

I think there are 2 pressure plates in each room (apart from the last) which open a side room. The side room has a plate and a lever, stand on the plate and then pull the lever. That should lock the plates down on that floor, so you can free some characters up to go the next floor.
