Mods help.

I downloaded a few mods I found on a link from this site. Unfortunately I am not 1/2 as computer literate as I would like to believe I am so before I screw something up I was hoping for a few pointers as to how to install them. They are downloaded into "My Documents" right now as compressed files. Where should I uncompress them? Do you believe there may be instructions once they are uncompressed? The site explained the mods but didn't say much about how to install them.

usually they go in your programs folder -microsoft games--dungeon siege----resource folder----------------maps go in the map folder of course----------
