lost queen and air of ilicor ring

hey all, i think i have a memroy lapse. I noticed i seemed to have missed a set item, the ring from the air of illicor, and i saw from the site it was located in a secret room after the lost queen. I don't recall meeting a lost queen, but maybe i am just forgetful. Can someone tell me which chapter this is from? and if in chapter 3 or earlier, how far back i might need to go to find it? i am at jerkhals crown now. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Also, i posted this question in another thread, but realized it didn't belong there, but not sure how to delete it. any help with this would be appreciated as well.

I think the Lost Queen is a large spider that exists in some tunnels on the mainland (the snow area). Do you remember fighting a large spider? Getting back there is a problem- you can use a displacer at the spot where you arrived on the island, on the beach, to get back to those tunnels. But getting to that displacer would involve a lot of walking.

If you ever get there, then what you are looking for is a room with 2 levers on the wall. Using them opens a door to the room where the ring is.

My memory isn't perfect on this, I hope I'm not too far off.

i do recall fighting a large spider, i guess i must have just missed the levers. thanks for your help. i don't recall where i fought it, but your help is appreciated.

okay i got it thanks. It appears i simply forgot to turn around once i opened the secret room, *duh*, i walked in and there it was sitting as plain as day.

I finished the game in normal mode today and back tracked to the Lost City and as soon as I entered the room with the two switches, which I had previously thrown, I saw the now open doors and the treasure chest beyond with the ring to finally complete the last set. I had thought the switches only rerouted some water flow. Next time I'll play in hard mode for I ended up with "Thumper"'s pack completely full of large potions. Obviously I don't use magic much except for healing and fireballs and their ilk; I never use defensive spells or tranformations.

I just installed the game last night and I got to the quest to kill the lost queen. It took a while and she was a bastard to kill but I finally did it. The only thing is, I can't seem to find any sort of secret room like you guys are talking about. I don't see any switches anywhere in the room that I killed her in. On the other end of the caves I found a lever and went down to kill more monsters btu that's it. I went back to the town and no one has any quests or anything for me.

Am I just missing something here? I'm kinda stuck, any help would be amazing.

Found the staircase that goes down to her lair.

The big spider that I thought was her wasn't.
