Controlling my party

This might sound stupid but how do I get my fighters to fight? Unless I bring the monsters right to them all they do is stand around and do nothing. My archers and mages, on the other, always help me in battle. Anyone?

In the bottom right corner of your screen you will see a panel that adjusts how your fighters will fight. If your fighters aren't doing much, then they might be set on "hold your ground." This means that they will only fight if an enemy comes right up to them. If you switch their setting to "engage," then they will run out to meet the enemy, and always fight. But you can always get them to fight by just clicking on a target.

The "engage" setting is good for leveling up fighters, because they are always busy. But they can be hard to control if you let them run around all over the place. On the other hand, if you are trying to level up spellcasters, then put your fighters on "hold your ground." This draws the enemy to within range of your spellcasters, and they will stay busy, and level up. Range fighters in general should be left on "hold your ground," because you don't want them in the middle of fights. They are not as well armored.
