Boss Goblin

I'm currently soloing as a fighter and have come across this little goblin that refuses to die !!

No, seriously. I've encountered the final goblin and I can't kill him :-(
I'm approx. 42 melee, 28 ranged, 10 nature magic.

All help greatly appreciated.

Personally, I didn't find him too hard to beat. I had a party of five characters though. What I can remember doing was backing him into a corner and just continuously hitting him with everything I got. Use your fastest, heaviest-hitting weapon, and smash away. Eventually his different appendages will fall off, making it easier. Since you don't have a second character to act as healing mage, make sure you've got a lot of potions.

The big problem is that I never get to hit him, because I'm busy drinking potions. Although at 1100 HP he removes them almost instantly...
After trying everything and spending a long time doing it, I've decided to do the un-mentionable thing: Lower the difficulty.

I lowered it to easy, and killed him pretty fast. Not pretty, but at least I'm now getting further into the game.

I suggest you start a new game and only do melee. The XP in DS is too slow to do otherwise. The only way to increase stats in more that one is to use a cheat code or a mod like Kanes XP spell whick accelerates XP gain. Kanes spells and other modes are at www.dsedit.net

Here's what i did. I used a cheat. When everyone is highlited press enter and typre +zool, and then press enter again. Everyone is now invincible. I got this at cheatplanet.com if you want to know more cheats.
