i just walk up to the forest guys up north and i went to give them the totem of the tree to pass when all of a sudden, they all surrounded my and started attacking me. wat do i do, kill them?

Yeah, you have to kill them now. This happens if you attacked the guy (Worglaw?) who had the totem of the tree in the first place

You don't have to kill them. You can just draw them out a bit and run around them and continue on. Little over a million exp if you kill them all but it's a tough fight especially melee. D

If you want to get to the Island Of Damend (or what is the name... ?) you can just pass threw the foolish "water trap" with no problem... you can just let it pool you down and get sweem past it and get up again.

You CANNOT swim through the trap from south, only from the north AFTER getting the stone from the island

Sorry, my bad. Ferncliff is right. What I should have said is that you can no longer give them the totem of the tree to get past

I have swam past the "obstacle" in the water... but only from the island to the shadow ruins... I have not tried to swim from the ruins to the island... the storm-thing pushed me to the bottom but I kept swimming and drinking health potions and soon I was past and into the lake off shore of the ruins... took a lot of potions... (that was v1.3 when liquid air didn't work...)
