Unofficial German 1.4 to English mod.

Thanks go out to BungBo, GeorgeKeith, and Draxis for making this possible.

Make sure you have a fresh install of Dungeon Lords, then patch up to English 1.3, then patch to German 1.4, then run this mod.
It makes a playable, English 1.4 version. (There is still some German in spots)

Ok... this is what is needed to play 1.4 in English.

Download the following as needed:

1) Dungeon Lords English Patches:
- 1.0 to 1.1 http://dungeonlordsgame.com/download...1.1_update.exe
- 1.1 to 1.3 http://dungeonlordsgame.com/download....3%20patch.exe

2) Dungeon Lords German 1.3 to 1.4 Patch:

3) German 1.4 to English 1.4 mod:
DLGer14toEnglishFinal_v14.exe

Install them in that order and it should work fine!

It works really well. There are only a few bits of german, such as unidentified items.

i judt bought the game 2 weeks ago or so, it is version 1.3 and when i patched it to 1.3 it said it was not needed but i did it anyway...
1) do i need to install the back patches and then redo 1.3 and on down the list?
2) will i be able to play my version 1.3 savegames, or will i have to start over?

No. If you HAVE 1.3 then you don't need to PATCH to 1.3.
The 1.3 patch contains patch 1.1, 1.2, etc, and if your game is 1.3 out-of-the-box then the only thing you would need is the German 1.4 patch and this mod so you can play 1.4 in English.

You're savegames will work, you just won't see any new stuff until you create a new game.

BungBo deserves most of the credit for this little project... he did 90% of the work!

Oh, yah, and the installer has been updated. It's now 99% English, including multiplayer. So if you have the old one, just download an run the new one and run it, It will update to the new files. I kept the name of the installer the same so I didn't have to keep posting links to it everytime we changed it. I think were up to version 3 now.

So if you still see German in your 1.4 game, I'd recommend re-downloading the "mod" and re-running it.
