How do you kill/destory "The white floating ghosts"?

I've been trapped in the catacombs trying to kill/destory them for days now, and I'm sooo mad that I scream at the game/computer.

Help someone!!!

If you block with your shield, then their ice spells won't do any damage. If you get hit with an ice spell, press <escape> and wait for the effect to wear off. I think banshees are immune to arrow damage, and sometimes they float high enough to avoid melee damage, so you're usually best off trying to kill them with spells.

Probably best to reload.

But, you can set the game to the easiest setting possible and blast away with spells. Ranged weapons definitely don't work, so unless you want to risk getting froze, then avoid melee.
