Take off the <edited> hat.....

hello. my character refuses to remove the samurai kabuto helmet (i think, its greenish and is notably asian) He still wears it when i unequip it, or equip another helmet... I didn't find anything in the forums like this, but hopefully someone has some advice... I can edit my savegame if need be..

I found he kept it on when I equiped the gas mask but my stats still changed. You might try replacing it with some other helms. If that doesn't work take off the helm exit the game completely to desktop then restart your save game.

I found the same problem. However, as it turns out, this was supposed to be fixed in the first patch (from what I read).

Anyway, it is an asthetic problem at worst. You can still equip with other helmuts, you just probably won't see it on your player (unless the new helmut has spikes/horns etc on it then you will see them sticking out of the green one).

it happpened on my Rogue too. It was the Imperial Kabuto/War Helm. The helm stays on the poor chap when I equipped the gas mask... which makes the gas mask looks cool, sort of like one of those SciFi trooper masks...LOL

It goes away when I switched to a Helm of Storm later on.

To get the Imperial Kabuto/War Helm off your head you can do the following. From your equipment menu left click the helm and drop it on the ground now remove everything from your head and then put the new helm on and evrthing should be right. Then pick the Imperial Kabuto/War Helm back up off the ground. However when you restart after a save the Imperial Kabuto/War Helm will appear to be back on your head. The only way I found to keep it off for good is to sell it. There might be another way but this worked for me. Hope it works for you. D.
