Stuck Please Help

Hi,
I'm stuck in Ulm Lower lvl. My problem is that you need the skull levers to get out, and on the walkthrough, it shows a switch being outside the secret room. There is no switch their, and it says you might need 2 scout, but my scouts 4 so that can't be the problem. Is the switch somewere else, or is this a bug? I am playing DL CE. I would really love to get out of this place cuz' the game looks fun, but not when your stuck like this.

When you first go down the elevator to the lowest level, turn left and open the gate. Go around the hallway till you see a large wall button on your left.

Press it and backtrack a few steps to a secret door that has opened on the left. In there is a skull lever on the left side of the chest.

Go back to the elevator and through the other gate. Swim straight ahead to where two switche receptacles are. Use your skull rod on the one on your right (west), then switch it. Swim around the waterway to the very last door, through there is many slimes and a button to the relic.
