SR Final Area...Any Ideas Plz!!!

I am stuck trying to get the shadow crystal where you have to jump into the wind tunnel while wraith's cast on you. I have read most of the forums in past about this room but I'm having no luck jumping and getting this. (Have done the backflip, the stand to left of door and jump when 1/2 way to wind area, tried time crystal). I am really stuck here and getting frustrated. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have been trying to do this for 3 days....my first time really stuck.

Notice the four corner platforms? Stand in the back corner of any platform and notice the position of the spinning crystal. If you time it half right, run/jump from the front edge of the top level and start grabbing (rapidly keep hitting grab) while keeping the jump button pressed.

I usually get the crystal in two or three tries.
