| | | Another Chest you missed Hi ferncliff,
I hate to break it to you, but you missed one chest... it's in a hut in the area north of Fargrove where you first start the game... level 1? You get gold, healing potion, maybe a 1st level arcane spell or a scroll? Can't quite remember.
Great resource, though! Saves a lot of time wandering the wilderness with the chance of still missing one in the grasses / weeds.
Cheers,

| | | Yes I skipped the 3 chest in the area at the start of the game. I should add them at some point. I'd have to double check but I think they are:
Behind the broken wall- weapons chest, no lock, gives short sword, Elvin sword, small mace, gnarled staff, etc
Shack 1- potion and gold, level 1 chest
Shack 2- potion, gold, scroll, lev 1 chest
I'll have to double check because I'm not sure of the levels of the chest in the shacks and I think one of the gives lock picks. D |

| | | Chests 35, 36, 37, 40 & 45 - More Details! Hi all,
I spent the time to open all of these chests at least 15 times (and chest 37 over 25 times -- you'll see why) just to find out exactly what might come out of them. Here's what I found: Chest 35 Always get:
Gold (150 +)
1 Potion (Healing / Greater Healing)
1 Nether Scroll (Gripping Vines / Summon Rats / Sleep / Fear)
2 Nether Kataals (Bone Dust / Brimstone Powder / Ochre Pollen) and always get 1 of either:
Arcane Spellbook (Fire Burst / Magic Missle / Shrieking Star / Freezing Touch / FLAMETHROWER) OR
Celestial Crystal (Peace / Time) NOTE: you get Flamethrower after the 15th opening, then get it every time after that - persistence pays! Chest 36 Always get:
Gold (150 +)
1 Studded Armor (Top / Pants) and 25% of the time get:
1 Potion (Greater Healing / Cure Poison) NOTE: This chest always spawns a medium to difficult random encounter -- and once it was a Fire Drake -- good XP generator if you wait to get a good one. Chest 37 Always get:
Gold (400 +)
1 Potion (healing / bloodlust / power) and always get 1 of either:
Light Weapon (SCEPTRE OF EVIL / SCEPTRE OF FIRE / Elven night dagger) OR
Medium Weapon (KATANA +1 / DWARVEN WINTER AXE / Topaz Sword) OR
Heavy Weapon (Silver Battleaxe / Double Sickle Axe / Barbtongue Blade / Greatsword) OR
Thrown Weapon (Golden Throwing Knives) OR
Ranged Weapon (War Bow) OR
Light Pole Weapon (Golden War Spear / NETHER STAFF) NOTE: I can't gaurantee this is all the options. The Silver Battleaxe and Double Sickle Axe came up 3 or more times each, the Golden Throwing Knives and Dwarven Winter Axe came up twice, and everything else only once. The 23rd time I opened it I still got a weapon I hadn't seen before. The 24th & 25th were repeats. I stopped there, but only because I was tired of opening this one up. Chest 40 Always get:
Gold (500 +)
1 Potion (Healing / Power / Cure Poison / Bloodlust)
1 Scroll (Ressurection / Gripping Vines / Sleep / BLAST NOVA / Blade of Baal)
1 or 2 Nether Kataal(s) (Monster Eye / Dragon Tooth / Spider Yolk / Borloth Horn / Black Orchid / Mandrake Root / Bone Dust / DIAMOND DUST / SHRUNKEN HEAD) and 90% of the time get 1 of either:
Arcane Spellbook (Fire Burst / Fireball / Shooting Sparks) OR
Celestial Crystal (Time / Dispel Undead / Solar Ray) OR
Nether Spellbook (Beserk) OR
Rune Spell (Spitting Shield) Chest 45 Always get:
Gold (500 +)
1 Potion (Greater Healing / Power / Healing / Bloodlust)
1 Scroll (Gripping Vines / Sleep / Resurrection)
1 or 2 Nether Kataal(s) (SOUL STONE / Brimstone Powder / Monster Eye / Mandrake Root / DEMON HORN / BLOOD NECTRE / Black Orchid / Mordis Vine / Borloth Horn) and 95% of the time get 1 of either:
Arcane Spellbook (Fireball / Magic Missle / Fire Burst / Ice Shards / FLAMETHROWER) OR
Celestial Crystal (Time / Solar Ray) NOTE: As with Chest 35, I got Flamethrower after the 15th time, and every time thereafter -- again, persistence pays. I hope you find this useful, and happy hunting!

Actually, that chest still opens, but like all chests in the ce, you have to get on the correct side of it before you can interact with it. I had that problem the first time I played the ce with the chest in the north end of the bolen field. Just circle the chest and you will be able to open it.
BTW Thanks for making this list ferncliff, it's a real help! |

I wonder if they'll fix the underwater breathing spell and potions in the next patch. Fixing Athletics so you can stay under longer would be nice too. D |
The crystal of Air does work very well if you have a high enough clestial magic skill. As for the potion of air I have no clue on that. If your athletics is at 15 you can swim from the shore at telendor all the way to the shore of the island in the middle of lost lake underwater. So if you spend your advancement points right you should be able to do underwater chests with no problem. |

| | | I got the dragon helm right after I got out of fargrove. I was laughing because I remembered some thread were lvl 30's were fighting over it. Sucks, my elf lady doesn't like it though. She says its too heavy for her little head. |

| | | Is there going to be an attempt to make a NEW Spoiler Treasure Map? As Venurean Forest, Skulldoon, Mog's Shack, another shack available to Rogue 2nd tiers now have treasure chests added to them in version 1.5CE.
By the way, aren't all outside treasure chests crap? That's about all I ever notice. Do you need to have your Disarm Trap skill above 15 or something to get high leveled equipment out of Levels 6-9 Outside-World Chest, or does that even matter?
There are only 5 Treasure Chests in the outside world that give high leveled equipment [armor/weapon]: Chest# 4[magic ring, +10%mgc resist, +2Parry], 8, 9, and the two chests in Mog's shack in versions 1.4/1.5 . And there are two more chests in a shack of great importance to 2nd tier rogues [hunter/trickster].
I have never checked chests 43 and 44, so I can't vouch for them.
Does anyone have a lists of all the different leveled chests in the last dungeons [with the results of their findings]...as that would be a more important list? Most of the outside world chests contain items that can be bought in the shops, sadly.

| | | I agree with you PG. Also, has anyone noticed the lack of weapons chest in the game? There are millions of magic, hundreds of armour and only a few weapons. Doesn't help me get a Demonblade or Soul Harvester. |

| | | This is great Hey Mate,
I have been looking for a map that I could read, somehow I got this game without the map. I have been asking for a map and you gave me one and this one will do nicely. Especially with the chest
Thanks |
