Skuldoon Arena

Ok, I am in the arena and have been fighting a minotaur paying 500 Gold at a time. And have done this more than 30+ times. And now I can't get out of the arena. The minotaur is dead and the gate is still down. How can I get out. I am running v3.1 any ideas.

This is an unfortunate bug in the game. The door is supposed to open after the end of the fight, but if you save and load your game while the door is closed, it will never open. Unless you can figure out how to edit your saved game file to move your character, you'll have to go back to an earlier save.

Unfortunately I saved the game while I was deep in the arena at night. I did not know that the gate was still closed, never had a problem before. Never edited a game before either. I have always wanted too. I don't have a clue as to where I would even begin. If I could just open up the gate or move the character on the other side of the gate that would be great.

If you are running 1.4, you can reload an older saved game and load up your current character (last SP character in the options). It might clear out your quest log, but its a solution off the top of my head.

You can download this program http://www.indominae.com/files/dlcharedit14.zip and you can use it to move your charactor. To use it I find the save game I want to edit by right clicking DL icon then clicking 'properties' then click 'find target' toward the top of the page find and double click 'save'. Slide the save you want to edit out on to your desk top. Open dlcharedit and in it open your save from your desk top. Over in the lower lefthand corner you'll see 'choose location'. Pick 'skulldoon' and save changes and I think you should be out of the arena and in skulldoon proper. Put your save back in to the game useing the same method you used to take it out. Before you do any of this make a back up of your save that you are going to edit by opening the game you want to edit and hit 'escape' and save it in a second slot. Hope it works for you. D

Thanks Ferncliff and Bunker I will try the character edit first and then try the 1.4 upgrade. I will let you know what happens.

Well the character level editor worked great. I did not loose any of my quest logs, stats or items. Thanks Ferncliff!

Glad you got out. We should both thank indominae i think he wrote the program. I wish I would have had it when I got stuck in the arena. D
