Shadow Ruins Need some help

I'm stuck in the room in the Shadow Ruins with gliphs on top of pillars. I've taken my time an actually used my throwing star to kill off all the Athena Basher's ( boy do they give alot of experience points) but now I'm at the end of the room and I see the gliph I'm meant to activate but it won't activate (turn bright color when stepped on) what have I done wrong?

what u have to do is jump to the sides and a wind will blow u to the next pillar. i didnt kill the Athena bashers so i dont know if it will still work....

thx I figured out the problem and killing the Athena Bashers didn't effect my progress in the games. I forgot to activate the gliph by hitting my tab key.
