Problem with Valdane Quest-Finding Mara

Greetings all!

After going through the forum threads, I have the following question to pose to the sages´ council:

Apparently, after you talk to Lord Graemare in the Bolen Fields and to Gileah in the Inn in Fargrove you should head west of Lake Dread (or Dire or something) till you reach a Shrine, and there you should find Mara fighting some assassins. What I did was to head directly to Skuldoon and then headed back to the Shrine (probably that was the mistake), but Mara was nowhere to be found. In order to check that I had indeed talked to Lord Graemare I went back to Gileah in the Inn and told her about the Lost Eagle (*wink wink*) and she plainly told me what she had told me b4.
After reading another post, I came to thinking that the "Finding Mara quest" might be activated after you have found Argalia´s armor at Ulm, and since (to my shame, I will admit) I haven´t taken up that quest yet, that might be the answer. The question is:
1) If I can sort out the problem by taking the Argalia Armor quest and the simply going to find Mara where she should be?
2) If there is anything else I might do to sort out the problem with finding Mara?

Did Gileah actually tell you abot Mara, or did she tell you to come back later? She shouldn't tell you about Mara until after Fargrove has been locked down, and that shouldn't happen until after you've completed the Argalia quest.

Go do the Argalia quest first and you should be fine.

Hmmm, the thing is, I don´t exactly remember what Gileah told me, but after telling her about the "Lost Eagle", she mentioned that she was waiting for "someone", but I am not sure whether she said the name or not (probably she didn´t from what you´re telling me). I will try it out then.

You need to complete the quest for the Argalia Armor. The main reason being is that you need to go to Fargrove when it has been locked down and rescue the king. After you rescue him, he reopens the town, and then you talk to the tavern girl, then you go to the Harrow Ruins West of Lake Dread. Mara should be there fighting some Ninjas.
