Multiplayer guard talk?

I tried to create a new multiplayer using my hero from single player. The draw is simply more power and newer items. I want to try the magic weaponry out too.

The problem I encountered was in the noob forrest. I couldn't talk to the guard at the gate so the goblin never appeared. I pressed 'shift' to do this.

Anyone done multiplayer?

One question: Did you get the temple summons from Simon the messenger?
You'll need to have that before the guard will talk to you.

One other thing, did you look to see if you could enter the sewers anyway?
Sometimes, when playing a new multiplayer game with an old character, the quests will have been seen to have been completed so check your quest log.

Multiplayer should play almost exactly like a singleplayer. The only difference is that there is now no way to pause the game.
