more class questions

More new player class questions; I've read the info on the walkthrough pages and can't find answers to these questions:

Started a rogue, added mage and quested for battlemage. My intention was to add trickster, not realizing that I was limited to Warlock and Cabalist.

I am now thinking about going back to Fargrove to try to quest for budoka or shugenja. A couple of questions, can I go back to add one of these after having started down the rogue/thief past? More importantly, though, I have already killed the ninjas who were attacking Mara. Does that mean it is too late to quest for budoka?

I may have also done this for battlemage as well because I circled around Lost Lake befrore I asked to quest for battlemage, killing the boss necessary for that. What is going to happen when I go back to the mage guild?

Thanks for your help - this is a great board.

Well it sounds like you have 3 classes so far:

1. Rogue
2. Mage
3. Battlemage.

That leaves you with 1 more 2nd tier class and your final 3rd tier class.

http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords/classes.php

Because you already have your 1st second tier class in the Arcane grouping (i.e. your Battlemage class) - you will not be able to quest for the Shugenja class (nor the Sorcerer).

You can however quest for any of the 2nd tier Rogue based classes:Hunter, Trickster, Budoka.

IF you have a female character then you also have the option of either the Valkyrie or the Enchantress for your last 2nd tier class.

Of course IF you choose your final 2nd tier class, then be prepared to select either that 3rd tier class above it (i.e. the NinjaLord is the 3rd tier class for the Budoka).. OR the Warlock (based on your Battlemage selection),

..Or the WarWitch (for either the Valkyrie or the Enchantress), assuming you have that opportunity.

..OR the Shadowlord (which is a "freebie" for all who have the CE version).

Thanks ScottG, sounds like I can still go after Budoka even though I have already killed the folks necessary for the class.

You can go after the Budoka class.. and you have not already killed the folks necessary for the class. (Mara and the Assassins, though near same spawn location, are not the same group needed for the class.. the Budoka class group is MUCH harder than Mara's.. well, at least the "boss" is.) Note that for me, the boss DID have his own legion of assassins (in addition to Mara's), which is contrary to the walkthrough.
