Leave fargrove bug

Got orders. When I leave through West Gate the game stops and it's written: "EVENT OBJECT _ID TAG# 430 == NULL".

Reinstalled with backuped saves - doesn't work. Does anybody know what to do?

Whatever the problem is, its not a bug. How far back were your save games?

I would post your problem on the technical support page at the dreamcatcher site. maybe some knowledgable cybergeek and help you there (I doubt you'll get any help from a dreamcatcher employee )

Yep. When reinstalled tried before and after patchong - the same problem.

Left Fargrove the first time. Installed 1.1 . Went to Arindale, completed all quests. Returned to Fargrove. When I leave through the south gate, the game stops. " LOAD CACHE TEXTURE :: 030X CREATE TEX FAIL CACHE TEX/SIGN.FGSKULDOON.BMP FOR MODEL:ROAD SIGN.FG.E.GR2" is displayed across the top of the screen in a green outlined box. What is wrong?

Also,when I tried to install 1.3, something went bad. The patch had not downloaded completely.(dial-up) I then found and used a download manager to get the whole patch. When I try to run this file, it always ends in a "catastrophic failure". Do I have to remove something before I try to install the patch? Did the first failed attempt corrupt something?

If I have to re-install the game, is there any way to save my charactor?

If you reinstall the game you can always open Windows Explorer. Go to ProgramFile/DreamCatcher/Dungeonlords and look for a file "Save" copy or move this file to desktop. When reinstalled just replace the Save file with your old one.

Most games ask you if you want to keep your save games on uninstallation. I haven't uninstalled DL so I don't know if they allow you to keep your saves. If not the above method should work.

Also, if your installation is corrupted sometimes your save games can also be corrupted.

The patch is a large one. A small amount of people are getting corrupted patches due to bad connections. I feel for the person with 56k and spends hours downloading the patch only to find out they have to do it over.

The 1.3 patch is compatible with previous versions saves.

if you reinstall the game and use your saved games it could save the error with it you might want to reisntall and try again from scratch that may be your problem but im no coder my brother is

i cannot exit on both gates(west and south), i'am having teh same error message outlined on a green box, if i press enter for about 6 times teh game exits and that's it END OF THE GAME !!!

i have read other suggestion that restart the game create a char. with p1.3!!!

Well sad to say that I create a new Char i had p1.3 on it, but same prob. just stumped along the road.

my housemate have a different prob, west gate portcullis halfway open.

Another suggestion (read from the typhoon games forum), create a new char with p1.3 on it, get all possible quest...

Sad to say again, my housemate just got stuck on that gate, he taught having a forward roll will save his ass from damnation..

Oh by the way, he was also teleported (sewer)if he try to get out of fargrove
via WHG (west hell gate!!!), but if he comes back, half portcullis gate will block him.

We need help (from anyone), for us to finish this game..

We spend a whole day yesterday figuring this one out.

kaz, I truly understand your time spent on deadends to try to make the game work. To fix this exit fargrove problem, I had to uninstall and reinstall the game. I had copied the "save" file to my desktop (thanks to bedwine's good advice). However, after reinstalling, my save file was still in the game, and I was able to leave fargrove. Hope this helps.
