Ladders in Skuldoon

In Skuldoon there are a couple of huts with ladders. I have the CE addition and cannot climb the ladders. I hit the shift key and nothing happens. Any advice?

The only one I recall climbing is the one inside a really tall hut. On the top is a character that you can get a sidequest from. I don't remember whether or not points are needed in Athletics in order to climb ladders, but you should have at least 4 in athletics so you can backflip.

Yep, just pound my head with a brick GK. I didn't even look up.
Probably would never have figured it out.....just returned from bashing a couple of number 12 chests at the safe house in the FB lands and gonna enter the Naga Temple. Bet I get that dagburn relic before leaving this time.
