I've got a couple of bugs

Well, the first thing I noticed when I started playing the game is that pressing M didn't do anything. No map actually came up. However I've managed to work around that but now, whenever I put a relic of power on its pedestal I recieve no boost in attributes or experience as I am supposed to. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something, am I? Does anyone know anything about this or how I could fix it, maybe a patch or something?

If automap isn't working, you must be running a version earlier than 1.3. That may explain your problem with the relics as well, as I'm running 1.3 and I get the attribute bonus and some xp when I turn relics in. You can find the 1.3 patch on the dungeon lords site, and there's some discussion about installing it in other threads on this forum.
