how do i configure my options ?

when i lower the detail settings it doesnt even change seems to stay on high graphics and everything because when im in game i see shadows and good grass detail and good distance settings can anyone help me find a way to keep these settings lowered and not high and id mayby like the ideah of a windowed mode if possible thanks in advice

I dont think those options actually work. I know for a fact the view distance feature doesnt.

well what do i do then... i pretty much know it doesnt work :P any solutions for it to run better on my computer... ill tell you my system specs if ud like

You can't turn off shadows unless you're running CE/1.5. The distance setting doesn't work in any version of DL.

Well all I can tell you is if you have alot of memmory on your video ( at least 256MB) and at least 1GIG in your system you should turn up Anything doing with textures. If you have a decent video card nothing below x800's or 6800's you should turn up anything doing with lighting or particles. ( if not do the opposite) CPU shouldnt be to much of a problem seeing how lame the AI really is in this game.
