Exclamation Has everyone seen this??

Probably lots of you have seen this, but I'm new to the game. I discovered a wall barrier on top of the mountains in the game, just above the vale of Ruin and to the left of it. It has no end, but I believe it to be the End Sequence area. The wall is towered by the horn-like structures and you can hear the demons, while on occasion some will fly out of the top and attack you. I just want to know if it's what I think it is. So- again- the wall is on top of the grey mountains (it took me a long time to get up there) and to the left of the Vale of Ruin, and goes north, to turn west and ends at the edge of the map.

Yes, you are right. I always call that place the "hell terrain" and once I even managed to climb up and finish the final boss with a level 7 character, but it's very hard to climb that barrier (and on the top there are holes where your character can fall into but never get out again, so be careful). It can be useful to go to that barrier early and kill some of the demons to grab their drops.

where did you manage to climb the barrier? Did you use the horn-like structures to climb? I would have the toughest time defeating Shaduroth with anything less than like a level 15 lol. But I'm still new. Thanks for the info though!

Yes, something like that. It was on the northern side of the barrier (don't remember exactly, but it may have been close to the center of that barrier: imagine the - symbols are the barrier and the x is where you can climb, it looks something like this: ---------x---------). Unfortunately I didn't manage to get up there again with another character, and even in the game where I actually managed it it was still quite hard because my guy would continuously slip down again during climbing.

He was actually not too hard to defeat for my level 7 guy. You automatically get the Ring of Protection and all the other relics (at least if you're fast enough to grab them under Shaduroth's nose after he killed Volgar but before he starts to fire his BBOD [Blue Breath of Death] at you), so his fire nova and other elemental attacks won't kill you instantly. Then I just used a standard throwing knife and pinged away, whittling him down from afar. It took a while but he eventually dropped dead.

Wink

whoa, that sounds difficult, but it may be worth skipping all the gates before you get to Shaduroth haha. I hate his BBD, it killed me once because I got stuck in a crevace... oh well Thanks for the info, and perhaps I'll try climbing up the barrier!!
