Reusults vary. For some, they show up in the inventory, but when I click on them to cast, the smaller spell menu at the bottom of the screen doesn't come up so I can't cat it. For others that happens and I can make the motions for the spells, but nothing happens.
Oh those are the items that don't work...Unfortunately those haven't worked since prior to CE and I don't have anything in the works to try to patch this game. It's fun and addicting, but very frustrating and full of issues.

Sorry that I couldn't do more...Hopefully Dreamcatcher or someone will hear our cries to resolve the issues and MIA aspects of this game one day.

Anyhow it gave the items to me and not to him, and since they are undroppable...it was as if nothing had been done. Eventually thru restarts and saves and so forth we both ended up with no key, yet still had the quest in both of our todo lists. It seems to be a bug with the quest more than the editor, as when we go to talk to Delilah she asks for the map, yet we have no key. on our initial attempt before all this started my friend got the key and I didnt thinking he could get me in, so he went in, founr out I couldnt get in, came out and I got the key. Suddenly we realized he didnt have the key anymore. At which point we began the editor journey. Now all our last saved multi characters are gone, and all we have are new lvl 1 ones that we were gonna edit back up to our original MP status, sans any quests and quest related bugs. Long rambling post. Heres hoping the quest editor COMES SOON! Keep up the great work.
Hmm, well I'm glad to hear that the editor is working at all with MultiPlayer games, because I haven't tested it with MP game files. I have had some feedback that it wasn't working, but that was several revisions ago. Does everything else work in it like the herald and stats. You said that you could only edit your character and not your counterparts character with my editor, correct? Good and let me know how things work in MP. I will have to test things out for multiplayer, but honestly I haven't even had time to play the game

I should have the heraldry's section added very soon. Lots of neat one that I have never seen in the game too...IE The Angel = Protection from Death?!@ Not sure about it, but it a valid herald. Hope this helps.
You get this if you have ever played a female character and completed the accention to warwitch through the sister hood guild.

adding items in the inventory

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but I have found that after adding an item pressing save and then trying to add another item without saving the character before adding causes the duplicate error message.

Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion?

I'm just curious how many ppl are thinking of switching to Oblivion? I looked at the "demo" movie for this new game and it seems pretty impressive. Lots of great reviews and dissention from players. I think it might be cool and of course a game editor for something brand new might be cool, too

Any opinions?

Any who already has it? Which version do you have base or CE? Your opinion in comparison to DL(even though they look like two generations apart)?

What about Never Winter Nights 2?

Just curious what people of like minds are thinking of next...

I have Oblivion base edition. the CE includes a coin and other trivial things. It has a cheat console and several codes have been posted at gamefaqs.com

The enterface is confusing at first, but not many gamers take the time even to check the options. The game map has locations you can zip directly to. But if you travel on foot, or horseback, you discover new places that will then appear on the map.

I only have an fx5900 agp 128mb and the install defaults me to 640/480, but the graphics are strangely adequit. I wouldn't recommend anyone getting it unless they have at least an ATI Radeon 9500, or at least an nvidia fx6500 in order to play at 800/600 and above. Your machine should also have at least 2gig processor and 1gig memory actually available to the game.

I could go on and on, but you get the picture!

I've lost count of the times I've played through DL, all versions, and feel that when finally an editor is doing everything but making morning coffee in DL/CE, Then I'll really get into Oblivion.

Question

Nice editor. I used it to replace the lost Lord Davamore's orders. However, the editor seems to have deleated some of my equipment. Several weapons and trinkets ended up missing.

Missing equipment??? I've never had that problem, so can't suggest anything. When Steve2d gets caught up with his regular job, maybe he can suggest something.

I used the 1.53 charactor editor to replace Davamore's Orders and a crystal of clarity (though it only let me replace one, not three). However, in doing so, several items (weapons, armor, arcane books, trikets) got deleted. The editor did not seem to read them in my saved character's inventory when I loaded the character into the editor, so when I saved the character in the editor, those items went missing. I am using the CE 1.5.

Hmmm, this is disturbing...First thing, the executable file should be "DLGameEditor V1_53c Beta.exe" (1,540,096 bytes). If this is not the case or just to be certain, please download the newest version from the same link.

I would love to get a copy of the game file (.bak) with which you had this problem, so that I could trace through the program source code to locate the problem. If you can, submit it to dungeonlord@logicse.com. Has it happened with any other game files, item, etc. Do you have any specifics on which items dissappeared?

I do have the latest version of the character editor. Each time I loaded the saved character file to the editor, certain items came up missing (weapons, armor, trinkets and arcane spell books, a letter, the crysals and the moonstone). They just did not appear on the editor's list of items for the character. For some reason, other items did not seem to be affected. Also, when I added two of the missing armors (a helm and a shield), they both showed up as damaged in the inventory when I reloaded the saved game, and I had to repair them. Just some info. All in all, the editor is very impressive and has allowed me to continue with a character I would otherwise have had to scrap.

When you insert items that require minimum and maximum values, to the left of the item window is a couple of little slots where you must usually type in a high enough value so the repair cost won't be too great. If you set the value too high, it doesn't matter. It'll all eventually work out.

Thanks for the info. That explains the damaged items.

I'm glad to hear that some problems that you had could be explained, thanks George. However, I'm still concerned about these items missing from your inventory. Can you give me any specific items with or without item codes. Is there anyway that you would email me a copy of the save file from prior to modification with the editor? Thanks for the positive feedback. Talk to you soon.

Ok, I did something stupid and saved in this treasure room in the Naga Temple and I'm now unable to open the door (the other opening has a gate). So I tried to set myself Outside the Naga Temple as a predefined location. The problem is, when I get into my savegame now, I get this: Monster In Space! XTile: 221 ZTile: 186 Type: MONSTER TNum: 0
