Do the heraldries work?

I have not seen it mentioned anywhere yet, but I have not noticed any change in my stats when choosing a heraldry. Ones meant to increase strike or parry or protection stats, seem to do nothing at all. This is potentially such a great game. Why oh why did they let this out so incomplete? I know they were facing a deadline however this is just unfair to the consumer. So very frustrating.

Yes all the Heraldy's work if you look at your strike before you get the Heraldy you will notice it goes up when you choose one that increases your strike, or dmg +10% look at your dmg part it goes up 10%more. The Fire Protection +10% look how much dmg a fire drake hits you for with his fire attacks and look afterwards when you get the dragon Heraldy. They all work but its just like on every other game alot of times they wont help out much more than you already are. Oh and your right the game has the right ways to be a good game, but yet they screwd up because of all the glitches in the game causing a alot of players not being able to beat the game.

Interesting reply. In my case (running Patch 1.1) I would say that the Heraldry does NOT work.

I see no change in Strike or Parry and also Celestial Magic +10% has no effect.

See thats where we are differnt though I never installed the patch from what I seen on the internet and all the forums for this game it seems that the patches are adding alot of glitches when installed on Dungeon Lords. Maybe im wrong about it but it seems ive really had no trouble with the game without a patch all my Heraldys work, and really havent had any bad glitches screwing the game up where I cant beat it. Fell free to post what you think, this is just my point of view.

Not only can I not see a difference with the heraldries, I don't think I'm getting a strength bonus either.

You won't see any changes in Parry in any case, since it's broken until the 1.2 patch.

Hmmm ... I would have sworn they worked - so perhaps it *is* a 1.0->1.1 thing.

Anyway, I checked with my current character and they are *not* working, as shown in the screen below. By holding the mouse over your portrait area, you also get your resistances. My character is *supposed* to have +2 Strike, and +2 Damage, which he doesn't.

Parry's not listed as being fixed in the 1.1 readme file.

Zed, how can you tell that you don't get +10% to your Celestial Magic? Did you time spells before and after getting your heraldry? I'm not questionning you, its just that this is an issue I have with the game. Its so difficult, or sometimes impossible, to know what kind of effect adding skill-related heraldies and points in skills makes to particular spells, equipment, combat actions, or other actions.

I timed rune shield for instance and it seems to give an additional 5 seconds to the spell per level, more or less. I started doing this after I added my rune heraldry though, so I don't know what effect that made. I also have no idea how well rune shield works, since its effect on armor rating doesn't display in any way.

Strike and Parry where easy to check using the Character sheet. As for the +10 Celestial Magic, I tried to time how long my Solarray spell lasted.

Yes I noticed too that +Strike and +Parry do not work. Double checked also.
+X% Damage neither, and I've not noticed any difference with +10% Celestial Magic regarding Solar Ray damage, while a +1 to Celestial Magic skill usually results in a +1 Damage per hit

Isn't it possible that they're working but aren't reflected on the character sheet? Of course, it wouldn't entirely surprise me if the Heraldries were broken, but it seems weird that they would work in one version and not another.
