Demonic Witness

So I made my own bagain with Voraatus, and decided I wanted the experience from killing the little weenie too. Now I've got a pair of "Demonic Witnesses in the room, and they seem to be immortal. They won't attack, but it would be fun to kill them too. Anybody got any ideas?

They are beatable, but when I fought them, I had attacked Voratus, so they attacked as well. They may need to be "activated", much like the Athena Statues in order to be hurt.

I found that I had to kill them before killing the boss or else they were immortal for some reason.

I had killed the boss before killing them. Perhaps you have to start fighting the boss and get then activated somehow prior to that.

I only noticed them after I started fighting the boss, they got in my way, and their HP didn't seem to be as low as it should. Now the boss is dead, and they're immortal. I can't say for sure, but fighting the boss, I thought they had too many hitpoints for as many times as I saw their name come up, after I saw them with less HP. I did bargain with him before I started to fight him. Maybe that's what's up?

That is possibly it. Perhaps when you bargain with him, those things become unkillable.
