combine things other than potions?

The tips mentioned something about combining items other than potions...

Anyone get some success on it?

Just thought about combining the story and recipe parts..but haven't tried :P

You can combine two bundles (or something like that) of hay to get a bed, but I don't think there's a whole lot to combine other than potions.

Right: two bundles of hay give you a larger bundle of hay that permit sleep. (Though there's a portable bed you can stick in your inventory up in an abandoned house, NW quadrant of the main map.) That, and potions. Nothing else.
