Hello

I recently restarted BD, and I saw that I can't raise my ID Item skill above lvl 2, despite having enough skillpoints. Is there a cap related to level?

I found out what's wrong: I had only learnt it up to level 2, from the skillbook. Stupid me.

Happens. Don't beat yourself about the head over it. The game's leveling system isn't immediately obvious, but that's really not a major drawback, IMO.

The leveling system is one of the more intuitive ones around, IMHO.

The manual seems to suggest that it's just luck when you get 2 skill points for a given level. Is that true? Is it worth saving when you get close to a level, and re-loading to get more skill points? It may be that skill points end up not being hard to come by, but they're definitely at a premium for me through level 10 or so.

You get 1 skill point at every level, 2 at every level divisable by 5.
