Selling - Any Good Tips?

Hi All:

Newbie here to the Forum and to the game - hi!

I am picking up everything I can in sight to sell, so I can buy training from characters I come across..

Two questions:

1) I am doing most of my trading in the Battlefields. Do the traders there ever get any more cash to sell to? In other words - if you go away and play in other areas for a while, do their cash supplies replenish?

2) What's the best way to improve trading relations?

It's been a pretty long time since I played it, but I think merchants reset their gold based on the in-game time. Also, I think there is a trading skill, (Appraise?), which lets you get better prices. I might be totally mistaken, though.
