Maybe big boo boo

I think i made a big boo boo, ka ka, i meet the black dragon in the wastelands, while talking to him i was under attack by the blue dragons. I defeated them and saved. Then when i went to talk to the black dragon again, he said i tricked him and no he will not talk to me. In my first talk with him he told me he could teach me the ghost spell. I did get the experience points from talking to him. So i guess what i am asking is, since i got the points, did i get the spell? If so how do i use it? if i didn't am i fubared?

It should appear along side your other spells. There's also a savegame editor around which lets you add skills to your character. I can't remember the link, though, but I think I've posted it before in this very forum.
