Found something I don't like.

Not that it's a major thing, but I just found out that once you put a charm into an item it can't be removed. I've only used one charm so far, but it kinda sucks that I used it because I'm gonna want to change my armour at some point and I have a damn good charm in the armour i'm wearing now. And since I can't find a save game editor that works for me, I'm kinda screwed. Just a little warning, be careful where you place your charms, because you won't be able to get 'em back.

This is one of the "Diabloesque" features of the game, and like Diablo, once you've placed a charm, it can't be taken out. It's been commented about up here in the past. (Not that I'm knocking you for missing it; I don't do much reading in threads beyond the first page, unless I'm doing a search. And it's possible that the relevant threads are no longer even accessible in the database.) It should have better documented, agreed. As I recall, the Diablo manual is very specific that players think carefully about placing gems. (In fact, it may be the only instance in Diablo where thinking is required. )

I looked through the manual afterwards to read about charms, and the only mention of them is in the skills description. And there are very few posts for this game up, and most consist of peoples views on the game, and others asking if they should buy it or not. Oh well.... I'll live.

I got warnings before placing any charms on an item, perhaps it was something they implemented into the UK version only? It was an annoying feature, they could at least have tried to give a reason why you can't use them multiple times, a little backstory would have been nice, rather than just "this is how it is so accept it".

There is a book down at the basement of the Cursed Abbey that explains some things about charms or magic gems as it calls them.
Amongst the list of possible colours and effects of these charms, the book mentions the possible origin of the charms and that the process of bidding a weapon with charms is not reversable.

Still the feedback for this feature is not much though.
