Transferring items betwen characters

Hey all, I've currently got two chars that i'm playing. A 24 druid and a 50-somthing paladin. The paladin is using Sacrefice as main attack so obviously he needs alot of lifesteal to survive. Now, my druid just found this little thingy in act 3:

The Eye of Etlich
Amulet
Required Level: 15
+4 To Light Radius
+1 To All Skills
7% Life Stolen Per Hit
Adds 2-3 Cold Damage
40 Defense vs. Missile

which would be perfect for the pally. Only problem is that I'm playing single player. So I'm wondering if there is any way to transfer an item from one character to another when both are in single player?

Not that I know of.

I think maybe, if you host a tcp/ip (shows your singleplayer chars) game and can run 2 game windows you can log in with both characters. But it will require a cracked exefile because the game can't run more than once on a computer, and you also need 2 cdkeys.

Don't know if that works, never tried it.

Otherwise you can't do it.

Transferring items between two characters? Very easy to do.

Go to google, type in PlugY. I'd give you the link myself, but the site I use has about seven or eight bad links to the download considering something's messed up with their server.

Oh and I'd recommend keeping this mod up, as it balances out a lot of stuff that was necessary to begin with (bigger inventory, bigger horadric cube, uber quests enabled, Skill and Stat unassignment for faulty builds, etc). The only two "Cheat" like features are the transference of items between two characters and the stash, as the Stash now has actual pages (meaning you can flip back and forth between different pages of the stash to gain more space), and I believe there are over four billion pages.

Good stuff to use for a rune and gem collector.

ahh, that's a problem then. I doubt it will work. If your Diablo 2 uses DLL files as well, it MIGHT work, but no guarantees.

It should be noted that PlugY is a cheat in the sense that it allows for character editing and item editing. Fair Diablo trading communities do not allow the use of PlugY. This is of course not a problem if you only play alone, but it should be noticed. For pure muling purposes, ATMA is recommended instead.

However, as far as I know neither PlugY nor ATMA is available for Mac. The only muling program I know that is supposed to work for singel player on Mac, is GoMule. I have never tried it though, so I don't know if it really works.

It's not really a cheat. Some of the features, yes, can be seen as cheats (item transferring, infinite stash pages, expanded inventory/cube, etc), but it also includes new challenges that make the cheat sorta necessary. The uber quests, like the Stone of Jordan Diablo spawn thing for example.

Oh, and just a clarification, PlugY does NOT have character or item editing. The only character editing is the shared inventory, and even that is still based on random loot chances. I know this for a fact considering I've been using PlugY with about three or four dozen mods for the last two or three years now, as well as the original LOD game.

It doesn't mean it's wrong or immoral to use PlugY. It just means that players should be aware of the fact that it is viewed as a cheat.

Since it enables ladder only runewords, allows for opening the red portal even when a char has killed the cow king and it enables the World Event and Ubers, it effectively modifies the game so the Anni and the Torch becomes much easier to get plus items dropped by the Cow King.
