after seeing piff get his guide added, i decided to write a smiter guide.

The following guide will only work if you use 100% the same equipment that i post. Stat points will be based off of +10 strength Draculs Grasp as the variable, so if yours are higher or lower, adjust your measurements accordingly.

it also has bold print and nice colors (sometimes)

Wand with Life Tap Charges its very important it has to be there, otherwise you might be stuck for a long time before it strikes from draculs, and you will die.

Inventory
Pally torch of course.
Anni is useless now and too hard to get.
9x p-combat gc, NO OFFENSIVE AURA ONES (too weak)

Mercenary
No. Dont even bother getting one. If you are going anywhere near Ubers, your merc will die in less than one minute. you dont even need one. just bring mana potions (YOU MUST BRING MANA POTS INTO UBER TRIST) and whatever you do never give a smiter's mercenary a reapers toll, that decrepify will mess you up so much. taking off life tap when you need it the most.

Average Equipment
use like aldurs weapon with 3 shael.
shield can be something with high damage.
nobody cares about poor people. make a mf sorc.




now, with this you can technically solo ubers.
if you kind of know what you are doing and dont get tons of lag.
make a friend (barb) stay in the game in case you die and you have to rejoin. also so they can bo you.

I assume this is purely for soloing ubers and nothing else?

No offence, but I can solo the Ubers ten times faster with equipment that can be found in Nightmare. With only 15% crushing blow from Gore Riders, it will take ages before you can take an Uber down, and don't think your 7k smite damage is worth anything against them. Harlequin Crest is, in my opinion, completely useless for this build. Equip Guillaume's Face instead, dump the Gore Riders and use those normal unique Goblin Toes (the DS from Gores doesn't get transferred by smite, and you already have OW from Draculs). That will give you 60% CB, and insanely faster Uber runs.

Also, basicly your guide is saying: "do exactly what I did and wear exactly what I do and you'll succeed", without leaving any space for variation. Perhaps you could change Str and Dex to "enough for gear/max block with adders" and Vit to "all the rest", and add in some other equipment choices, such as things people who do not powertrade or play legit can afford? As I mentioned above, items like Guillaume's, Goblin Toes, and others like Guardian Angel, rare amulets with +1-2 pala skills and fire/light resistance, a "Kingslayer" phase blade, Fleshripper, Astreon's Iron Ward, ... can all be equally useful in taking down the Ubers.

Last but not least: to all you people out there who think the Ubers can only be soloed by cookie cutters equipped with your average mr. Pubbie hammerdin gear, or that Mara's and Harly are the best items for Any Build, I encourage you to read this.

All submissions to the guide thread is welcomed, however, the guide must of course be realistically playable and suit its' purpose.

Since I have no experience of Smiterdin's at all, I rely on my fellow moderator Moltovir's assement of this guide. I suggest you take Moltovir's advice, Tetsumaru, and make some revisions in your guide.

no, this is for pvp too. yeah i know the deal with crushing blow too.. just think how long it took me BEFORE i put on gores T_T

but shako is for life mostly. i used kiras and got pissed too much at dying from the charged bolt of mephisto.

its actually been a long time since i have played vanilla lod, so yeah.

there r so many better smiter builds than this with 5% chance to cast life tap and no cta. i strongly recomend u use guillume's face umed and guardian angel armor umed with 10sks in res fire and 10sks in res light so passive fire and light resists are 95.
AND u can use an act 5 merc (seen as they regen so fast) with last wish. This will take ur dmg up quite abit and ur merc can do so major dmg to ubers. i wud put bugger forti and eth andy on ur merc and he will be fine and do 9.5k dmg with ignores targets defence.

I recommend you not to use "omg" in your posts as that is said to make you less intelligent.

As far as I know "Ignore target defence" does not work on bosses, so it would be of limited use against übers I imagine, even if you are prepared to waste the insanely high runes on your merc.

I love the lack of average equipment.. because everyone knows that you can just throw on COH, HOZ, and all the good equip. right off the bat right? Or do you just run naked until 40-65? Oh ya I forgot your char is flawless right? And people do care about poor people.. that's why I make games called FREE FOR YOU in normal after mfing and getting drops that I don't want/need..
