Mf items

Regarding the character build for the meteor/orb sorc for mfing, when you listed the items, for belt, tal belt was used. I have a tal belt, and I just got a goldwrap, my goldwrap is 30% MF while my tals is only 11%. Doesn't it seem more practical to use goldwrap, or is tals better for the attributes?

Also, the rings you listed have no MF, is that strictly to balance out your skills/dmg to your mf? Or would there just be no point in exceeding the % with the gear you listed?

The reason why I listed Tal's belt and not Goldwrap, is because with 3 pieces from Tal's set, you get a set bonus of 65 MF except for the 10-15 MF Tal's belt can have. The best 3 pieces to choose for an MF Meterorb sorc is the belt, the armour and the amulet, in my opinion.

For the rings, I think a SoJ is nice for the skills, all dual-tree sorcs benefit a lot from +skills, and the Wisp is for the glooms in Worldstone Keep and some MF. (The Wisp can have 10-20 MF and 10-20 lightning absorb)

You can of course use items with more MF than 3 Tal's pieces will give you (for instance Skullder's sck with Ptopaz, pure MF ammo and Goldwrap) and also you can use MF rings instead of SoJ and Wisp, but your speed will decrease significantly. It's always better the more MF you have, but it's certainly dimishing returns especially after 300-400 or so, so it's a trade off.

Ah alright, gotcha, also, is there a point of going over 450%? I have around 380% or so, without an occy, shako, or skulders (the main items) Other than that though I have most of the others. I heard MF caps off around 450 and there isn't much of a point of going over that, but with the items you listed that lands you right in that area of 450.. Just wondering

There is really not much point in going over 400%, but if you can do it and keep your speed, it's of course always good to have as much MF as possible. My equipment suggestions are based on maximum MF without sacrificing any killing speed.

Some people for instance can't stand the random teleport you get from the Occy when hit, so they may prefer a good Tal's orb or a rare orb rather than the Occy. I actually use the Occy also on several non-MF sorcs, since the mods are really good, but for many builds a Deaths Fathom, a perfect Eschuta or a Tal's orb may be equally good or better. If you can stand the teleport of the Occy, I think it's the best orb for a Meteorb regardless of whether you MF or not.

Ah, alright, I use a Tal Orb right now, I like the skill bonuses, along with the tal belt, it's another +1 to skills. I might keep it, or just go for the occy i'm not sure yet. Currently, to get to the spot im mfing, I use Tal Orb and a lidless shield, but when I mf, I use ali baba's with a rhyme shield, it's not bad, I just need better armor and a better helm. I use Que Hagan's with a socketed p topaz, and a 3os helm with 3 p topaz, which doesn't exactly benefit my skills nearly as much as a shako would lol.
