As for voice actors for the movie, I would hope they'd just use the same as they did in the game if they were to go so low as to use the same characters as well.
If they made a diablo movie, I would hope that deckard cain would be long dead by the time it's set in, but hopes are only hopes. I just don't want them to use familiar characters because they'll never get it even close to the original. |

| | | A diablo movie would be quite boring.
Watch a hero beat on carvers for about an hour...
Hero: "Incredible! a Set Item"
~
I think Sean Connery would be a bad idea as well, he's too good an actor to be a supporting character like Deckard Cain.

| | I think considering the length of some of the discussions in the game, he's not going to have such a bad place. And anyway there are not small roles, just small actors.
I say if not Sean Connery, then someone like Patrick Stewart or Morgan Freeman.
We're also going to have to cut out some of the acts to make it all fit without just having 6hrs of hack and slash. In the end I expect it to be a bit like the Doom movie...although I haven't seen it...

| | | First of all, They'd HAVE to have Nick Nolte in it. Id go see it if he was, beause he might make it good. Or at least decent. Usually game movies are aweful, I never see them. |

And what about a movie about a little yellow circle that eats dots and fruit, and then gets chased by ghosts. Or a monkey that throws barrels at you unless he randomly gives you a sledgehammer. |

| | | Seriously, I really think a Diablo movie would suck immensely since the story in Diablo is thin, to say the least. And the characters is simply non-existent! Diablo is a wonderful action RPG, where the story is completely unimportant. Even horrible, stereotype fantasy movies need some kind of story!
But ok, let's say we made a 5 minute movie out of the Diablo story. In that case, I'd like to see Kevin Costner as Deckard Cain, because Costner is as cloose as a non-character without features you can come.

| | | Problem is, most of the stuff is horribly cliched. That won't make for a great movie. And if they hired Boll... that'll be the end.

| | | Sean Connery would better be suited for Quel-Kehk. Deckard is nothing but a little old man. To cast Sean Connery as Cain would be like casting Matt Damon as a top-secret assassin. It just couldn't work, right? | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
