ok, the quest guide on this site said something about going through rooms and placing stones on platforms, and when i got this quest, all i did was go through about four rooms, all with unlocked doors, and read a tome, and when i read it, a message popped up saying "gained arcane knowledge" and a red, three-headed dragon came out of the ground in the corner of the room. when i walked over to fight it like i thought i would have to, it went back in the ground and the hole sealed over, and the quest ended. so what happened? why didnt i find any stones or platforms? has this happened to anyone else?

i learned the guardian spell (that explains the dragon) but what about the stones? can anyone help

You found the Guardian spell... But The stones and the platforms are in another quest... The quest where you get arcanes valor. The stones are Blood Stones and the Pedestals are Blood Pedestals. There are no stones in the Chamber of Bone.
