Patriarch of Oghma

I was wondering if any one knew the story of the Grand Patriarch of Oghma. Apparently he disappeared during the time of troubles, and I have read a few things implying he died. Anybody know the full story? I havent been able to keep up with all the new books so I am at a disadavantage - being stuck in 2cnd edition and all....

anyleads would help my campain

Cheers

Acording to Faiths & Pantheons as of year 1372 DR (14 years after ToT) he is still missing which caused a schism between two factions within the church:
- The Orthodox Church of Oghma based in Procampur belives that he ascended to a semidivine state and is serving Oghma on the planes and that untill Oghma tells otherwise there should be no new Grand Patriarch of Oghma
- Oghmanyte Church based in Sembia claims that Oghma himself recently declared their high cleric Undryl Yannathar new Grand Patriarch of Oghma

Those two factions refuse to find common ground and press temples throughout Faerun to chose.

That's interesting! I think I'm gonna use it in one of my future campaigns
Doesn't happen too often that a good aligned (or neutral-good) church has an internal struggle...
