| Monk and Paladin orders in 3.5 Edition? I remember reading about a number of these in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, and so I had to think. Are there still special orders for Monks and Paladins, such as Monks of the Broken Ones and Paladins of Torm?
One thing that led me to think NO is that one of the Monk orders, the 'Monk of the Long Death' appeared as a prestige class in Player's Guide to Faerun.
One thing that led me to think YES is that PGtF also offers prestige classes such as the 'Hammer of Moradin' and the 'Morninglord of Lathander' with which Paladins of the respective deities can freely multi-class as.
Also, have any other orders been considered, particularly for racial deities such as Gnomes (either Garl Glittergold or Gaerdal Ironband) or Mulhorand (definitely Horus-Re, in that case)? I would think that Paladins of Horus-Re especially have a Paladin order of their own, and be allowed to freely multi-class as Fighters, Clerics, and Divine Champions of Horus-Re. I could also see Bane having his own order of Monks, maybe known as Monks of the Black Hand, who can freely multi-class as Fighters, Rogues, Blackguards, and Clerics of Bane.
Overall, and idea if those are still in effect, and IF there are any other orders that are officially being created (Note: This means by Wizards of the Coast and their development team.)?
