Upgrade complete

Whoopee! I finished building my new rig yesterday and finally able to run recent games decently (within the 30-90 FPS range). Anyway, for the uninitiated, this is my new rig:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 (2.33GHz)
Kingston ValuRAM 2GB RAM 667MHz
GALAXY Geforce 9600GT'OC 512MB DDR3
Abit IP35P
Windows XP Pro

Most games I have tested ran pretty smoothly, especially the Witcher, even though it went as low as 18fps during the introductory cutscene. Might do some more testing to improve performance.

    Congratulations on the new rig...sounds like a good one, I remember the excitement of finishing mine a couple of years ago....although its now dated...LOL
    Where I noticed a big difference was in the graphics...
    Like the choice of OS......I too have resisted Vista....

    You forgot? I may be more interested in action and strategy titles but that doesn't mean that I won't dabble in other genres.

    P.S. As for that thread title, you can thank Command & Conquer for that.
