Freak show

Posted 06-01-2008 at 01:21 PM by Lady Dragonfly

Welcome to the freak show.

The latest: Dems squabble over Michigan and... yep, you've guessed it - Florida delegates.

"We just blew the election!" a woman in the audience shouted. The crowd was divided between cheering Obama supporters and booing Clinton supporters.

"This isn't unity! Count all the votes!" another audience member yelled.

Proponents of full seating continuously interrupted the committee members as they explained their support of the compromise, then supporters of the deal shouted back.

"Shut up!" one woman shouted at another.

"You shut up!" the second woman shouted back.

Alice Huffman, a Clinton supporter on the committee, explained that the compromise giving delegates half votes was the next best thing to full seating.

"We will leave here more united than we came," she said.

Some audience members heckled her in response. "Lipstick on a pig!" one shouted.

Boy, don't you just want to reserve a seat in front of the stage? Get your popcorn and Coke: Clinton's kinky grannies vs. infantile Obamabots - a must-see freak show.

I am not voting Donkey in November, it's just too freaky.

I have never understood the US electoral process, or rather why it must be so complex. Also why the campaigns are being allowed to be run so dirty as they are.

From an outsiders perspective, I would personally vote Obama simply because he seems like the most fresh air in the entire circus right now
But regarding the "Hillary votes" from Florida was it?... then I would seriously have thought there would be something rotten going on if they had counted fully. I mean Obama's name wasn't even on some of the ballots?

Dang I'm glad our process in Denmark is much more simple and much more "fair", despite having 5 times as many parties which have influence.

A bit of "fresh air" is about all that Obama offers. No substance, just air.

Both Clinton and Obama were on the ballot in Florida. Neither was campaigning there. Clinton won 50% votes vs. Obama's 33%.
Actually, she won all big states that really matter to Dems. Obama won a lot of states that usually overwhelmingly vote republican in the general elections, anyway.

Michigan is a bit different: Obama indeed removed his name off the ballot but there was the so-called "uncommitted" choice, and 40% of all votes went over there. Clinton won 55%.
Now, please don't get me wrong; I am not a Clinton supporter. But she is vilified by media beyond belief - and that makes me a little more sympathetic.

Actually, none of the major candidates inspire my confidence (see the link to the cartoon).

The ship sunk with all hands ... Unfortunately the

Donkey party was too cheap to buy tickets and unfortunately unknowingly the Elephant party stalled their Stimulus Bill. The Jack&Jill_Asses had tickets for themselves stashed away in the Bill to help the economy (hidden with 99 day invisible ink)(from an illegal campaign contribution by a shady company called ACME Products based in Hollywood).

Oh God, for the sake of the free world I hope they leave the DOD and the running of wars to the military. President Obama I truly wish you the best of luck and true guidance even though I did not vote for you. Go Elephants 2012 and America wake up ( there is such thing as clean coal technology and windmills in tornado alley makes alot of sense ... sure does).

Thank you for the blog and you may delete this at any time.

$3.5 Trillion worth of fun?? 3,500,000,000,000.00+++

Unfortunately the younger generation and their yet unborn future generations will be paying the obscene price for the 2008 election.

The banks we had to bail out but the big 3 auto makers should have been left to a court ordered bankruptcy. Congress just collapsed under the pressure of lost votes for 2010 when the Unions started crying.

Unions are crying again because they want everyone else to pay taxes on their health benefits. Except the Unions. No way they say. Congress will cave again to the Unions.

That $3.5 trillion is growing and there are no shovel ready jobs. What's worse is there is absolutely no proven technology for greener cars or electricity.

A correction on my post dated 02-03-2009:
    Quote:
there is such thing as clean coal technology
Should actually be "there is 'no' such thing as clean coal technology".

They did raise the cafe standards for gas mileage to 35mpg by 2012. They can afford the price of gas for cars and heating.

I'm making my next car a Toyota Prius because I like getting 45-50 mpg and they are highly rated for safety.

The truths that were not and are not being told will be legion.
