Trillian Astra

So - have used trillian for a number of years, and lately bought it as well for professional use. It has been my IM client of choice for the last 3 years cause of its ability to combine my IM accounts easily. Yeah, I sure others do as well, and are free and yadda yadda yadda.... I like Trillian 
So I registered for the Astra alpha and got accepted, so now I got some new toy to play around with.
First hand impression is .... nifty. It looks so much better and feels so much more slick then the "old" trillian.

 | Been working some more with it, and I do really like the polished look of Astra, the tiled view of my contact and all that. So I went on to try the Widgets, and while I ran in to trouble at my work installation - it was nothing at the surprise I got when I tried at home. Widgets apparently require a Flash 9 player installed (in IE) .... then I find that Flash player 9 can't install on a 64 bit browser. What? Like 64 bit is a new technology? Come on ...that's poor. |
