| | Settings & Story in BGIII Where would you like the game to be set in BGIII?
Additioanlly what would you like the story to involve?
I would love to see it set in Aglarond and Thay, with the nations on the brink of war and Edwin (after being killed by Elminster) reutning as a Lich and Zulkir to lead the assault. You would be a Militia in Aglarond, and must find Elminster so he can help kill Edwin. Then you go undercover as a Thayan Warrior, and infiltrate the ranks from within... |

| | I read somewhere that BG3 takes place several decades before BG1.
Anyway I'd love to see the Zhentil Keep

| | | The Dalelands would be fun to visit. Perhaps Shadowdale where Elminster lives, since he pops up in the first Baldur's Gate. The forest of Tethyr would also be interesting...

| | I'd like to see the setting be in Waterdeep and include some quest involving the Undermountain. The story surrounding the Undermountain is pretty cool (see http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ru/20050309a).
Maybe they could even tie in Balduran somehow and have the main character run into him just before he heads off on his fateful voyage to the now known "Werewolf Isle".

| | | I would like it to include Baldur's Gate, which I preferred so so much over Athkatla, I'd also like to see a return to the BG1 map style of wilderness areas that made things feel more free and non-linear. The region of kara-tur would be interesting though I would prefer Baldur's gate - Waterdeep. |

| | | Why limit it to one or two? Why not go to ALL of the places mentioned...
But Kara-Tur would get my vote, since basically everything I know about it is... katanas. Wooo that's a lot! But on the other hand, it would be nice to re-visit Baldur's Gate, and even Waterdeep! Also, the Arcane Brotherhood tree-house-thingy in Luskan would be cool to see. In NWN1 you were in it, but never actually saw it.
Akhathla (sp?) was nice the first time round, but I got enough of it.
Ooooh! That Elven city that you are in at the end of BG2! What was it's name...? I have Icewind Dale 2 but haven't played it much, so seeing the Ten Towns would be awsome.
Aw hell... there's just too much of Fearun that I wanna see... If they'd make all these places, we'd still be waiting for BG3 at the turn of the decade. |

| | | Original BG area, going south to Beregost, north to around Waterdeep, east to Irieabor or Darkhold. A lot of ruins, fallen kingdoms and smaller cities dot the landscape.
Shadowdale and Elminster are boring areas, not of lack of action, but they are described in so many novels and sourcebooks that it's just not that interesting anymore.
Aglarond vs. Thay....not going to happen that soon. As long as Szass Tam holds sway over Thay and The Simbul adminsters Aglarond it's a stalemate. If it's going to be a "current event" story it has to adhere to Wizards of the Coast canon, and they have fun with their Dragonrages, Empire of Shadows and Silence of Lloth storylines.

| | I don't really care where it is since my knowledge about the realms are (compared to all yours) too small.
What I really want though, is to bypass Candlekeep, or at least having the opportunity to visit it at least once. I still consider it "home" and I know that it would have a great impact in me - just walking around there once more. |

| | | I would like to see it start in Baldurs Gate. It would be fun to see Baldur’s gate updated with a new engine. But only for the start, as I would like your adventures to take you elsewhere to explores some new areas. I agree with Aztaroth, why not all? The BG games were very epic in taking you all over the sword coast, the underdark, pocket planes, Hell, etc… BG3 should also take you to many areas.
Besides Baldur’s Gate, I guess I would like to see some areas that have not been covered in semi-recent previous FR games like NWN, IWD and BG. So the areas that have been covered by these games are out and anywhere else in Faerun is cool with me. |

| | | It would be nice to be able to travel more swiftly between all of these places, and maybe even have random encounters on the Sea of Swords. If you have enough gold you could travel in style along all the coastal cities (Luskan, Waterdeep, BG, Athkatla, and all those further North and South, not to mention the various island chains along the way). And who wouldn't want to beat the tar out of some pirates that really made a bad decision in which ship to raid...yours!

| | | As for the storyline, maybe a different angle of view would be nice. Like playing Sarevok and opening the possibility of him winning the fight and changing the story completely from that point. I could also imagine a Sarevok line that covers the time between his defeat and his ressurection (à la Planescape Torment maybe). |

He was going to become the new Bhaal, wasn't he? I'm not sure a game playing a risen god would follow with the story, simply because you'd be way too powerful and there would be so much to include. Playing from a different point of view would be nice, though.
