Edwin Odeserron wasn't killed by Elminster. He was shapechanged into woman form and set in Waterdeep as a waitress named Edwina to prevent the fury of Elminster.).Viconia De'vir chosed to live in Suldanesselar if you were romance with her and if u chosed the path of being a god.I think these charecters could be in BG III and that would be fine. I really wish BG III would use isometric animations like BG II. This really creates a good atmosphere.3D based engine games like NeverwinterNightsII's far from mystic atmosphere of Forgotten Realms. For example I dont want to see sharp edges in a round shield or my paladin shouldnt be seem like in a Full Plate Pixel +3.Besides that the fonts of conversation dialogs and identification of items in inventory musn't be ordinary texts.Fonts must be a little gothic. And the hand drawings of the item must exist too. These are little diffrences between BGII and the ones like it.But they re important and affects the replayability and the fun of the game...

Yeah, but the old figure was 200,000 copies to break even. That's a lot of copies, and let's face it: GameBanshee doesn't even come close to it.

baldur's gate is over and making a 3rd game would kinda silly... i would sure like to see another D&D game following baldur's gate footsteps though, with a 5-6 member party, cool isometric graphics, character interaction, etc...

NWN had no party, the graphics were annoying, it really lacked the BG magic as far as I was concerned.

And I whatever happens I wanna see Minsc again, in a quest or something, maybe even as a short term ally or something like that...

Battling with Minsc yet again! That would make my day every time! But what would Boo say to another game with Minsc, but without the Baldur's Gate style and fun gameplay? I think a 3rd game is a must. Wish somebody in the gaming industry would hear my plea and feel pity and make a 3rd one...

Heck, I'd take Gorion as a temporary companion even if he didn't want to join my party. He was amazingly powerful in his first battle against Sarevok in BG.

Sarevok just isn't allowed to die in that first battle. Gorion launches about about 50 magic missiles and a few acid arrows at Sarevok before running out of magical power. If you count the damage he takes before he dies, it's around 70+. Not bad HP for a mage.

Actually, Gorion was underrated. Completely. He is supposed to have a party with him when he fought Firkraag - that means that he must have had access to decent spells, triggers, or at least the ultimate fighter defense - at least bg1 fighter level - the stoneskin. As an old mage he could be weaker, but he wasnt stupid nor with any mental disorder.

I was thinking about Cespenar. Cespenar will be a good addition to any BG kind of games, sequels or prequels.

Cespenar would be an excellent sidekick were he to be included in BG3, but he should be a knid of familiar available to all classes with the ability to upgrade or modify your weapons for you and should not count toward your party limit- a cross between dog from Arcanum and T3 from KotoR

'Tis true, but only cause Sarevok has an ass-kicking 100% magic res or something like that. It's hard to land a lot of spells on him anyway, and I can only say Thanks Angelo for getting your dispell magic off on him so he's not running like some overpowered train any more.

And besides, he was powerful. 5 mm shows that he was lvl9 and above, and that was pretty nifty for bg1. He was also able to release them very fast with some trick, so he was probably stronger than any mage you were able to build in that game.

But well, getting toe-to-toe with Sarevok, being a mage, in the final battle was never especially good. Especially not if you're like me, and just running through the game, getting your chars to lvl4-5 and getting two-hitted from the big bastard. ^^

And, don't forget that a whole party of ~lvl10 chars, you yourself didn't stand a chance against Gorion. You could say he's the inventor of ctrl+r ^^

Xan!! god I love that elf. "While leader I will strive not to get all of us killed." And he is a nice change compared to your normal blow them up mage. I love the fact that on the defualt script he will charge in battle with his sword than run after only getting hit a few times.

True, Xan was always something specific and a char I would have dragged along every BGII-game, if it were possible. His lines were wonderful (Why don't we all just lie down and die?) and such, I laughed out loud a couple of times after hearing those.

Also, I loved his weapon (MOONBLADE! GIMME GIMME GIMME!) and the fact that he couldn't cast Invocation/Evocation spells, which made you think a bit about which spells was good when you couldn't mass MM on all your enemies.

One thought though, wouldn't it be nice to run into some elf mage called Jonoleth and his precious Ellesime, either they helping you out or hiring you for a quest, or something like that. Just to see how ol' Ire was when... Elvish. (That can't possibly be a word )

Interesting to see so many people wanting a game called BG III but without any characters from BG I or II....a bit weird, isn't it ? While the game hasn't to be about the Bhaalspawn, it at least should have something to do with the original storyline or you might call it a different name ( like Icewind Dale ). How about playing your original mother or someone in her party ? So some people from BG I and II might be around ( younger of course ), Gorian, Firebread Elvenhair, probably Jaheira and Khalid as they are half elven, Xan would be interesting, sadly his brother died long before the original story in Icewind Dale, he would have been a nice addition too.... Elminster would appear too...hmmm, now it sounds so like Star Wars....

Volo should be my pack-mule. (a definate must)

Korgan not bieng by my side would cause MASS boredom for me. He would be greatly missed.....*tear*

I never cared much for Minsc or Jaheira. I couldn't stand having them around. (maybe it was their voices?) Plus I hated Jaheira's attitude.

New faces would be a must. Same goes with new playable races. (classes are ok IMO)
