Well in another thread it states that BGIII will be set before the BG saga with possible NPC's being relatives of our favorites. I'd still like for a completely fresh start, and it could easily be done but with the amount of people that would love to play that retard of a Ranger(that should have been a barbarian or a berserker) with some stupid hamster that wastes a quick slot AGAIN I find it highly likely that there will be connections to previous games. At least when I was into making my own weapons I made Boo a returning dart that caused blindness. He didn't just sit there and go squeak.

That's a good point! Some of them even died, as I remember
It's ok if they come up with new NPCs as long as they're as funny and interactive as these guys were. (Oh HOW I loved them! )

Since it seems to be a prequel, a cameo with Aerie with wings might be neat. Or to maybe do something about her capture.

Sequel: Spectator Beholder, Viekang (teleporting child of bhaal, assuming you helped him out in ToB), and Larze the ogre who you meet in the Blushing Mermaid in BG.

Prequel: Gorion (younger), Ulcaster (possibly), Balduran (maybe), Albert and Ruffie (although they could also be in the sequel, I would just like to know they're story).

(Just to note: I'm not saying do all of these I'm just listing ideas.)

New NPCs please!

A few cameo appearances of old NPCs (Spectator Beholder comes to mind as does Minsc & Boo) would, however, be fine as long as they do not overdo it.

There's one guy I'd like to meet - Bhaal in his human form. After all, someone DID wind up killing him. There wouldn't be any Bhaalspawn around (maybe a few toddlers at the most), but lots of Bhaalite priests and priestesses (maybe even a cameo appearance by Amellisan).

Of course Gorion and Elminster would likely make appearances as well (although I doubt Elminster would actually DO anything - he always seems to work only in an advisory capacity).

Well, it has to be based around the Baldur's Gate area if we are talking about having a game be named that (Although BG2 wasn't in baldur's gate, it was a direct continuation of the story that did deal with baldur's gate).

Prequel - Possibly have it be during a time before the city of Baldur's Gate was built? You have to end up killing Bhaal in his human form (since I don't believe it was ever explain as WHO killed him while he was in human form).

Sequel - Since there aren't just the Baldur's Gate games anymore..meaning..there is Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights, maybe have some bit of crossover?

*NWN:HotU Spoiler* [color=black]The henchman named "Deekin"..the kobold bard/rdd says in HotU that after his second adventure (first being in SoU) that he will go and try to help his kobold tribe be good. *Spoiler* Possibly have Deekin get a big cameo in BG3..such as finding a new home for his tribe and being in a cave somewhere where he is the chieftan? With his wings and all. Maybe he gives you a silly quest of some sort (since he is a silly character)? Maybe you can even find copies of his written work as those random books you are bound to find in the BG/IWD/NWN series.

I really can't think of any memorable npcs in Icewind Dale..but my most memorable npcs have to be most of the NPCs that show up in the Baldur's Gate series and Neverwinter Nights series. I can't really remember crap about Icewind Dale's npcs/henchmen.

Anyway yeah..have some crossover goodness or something! But ONLY if it fits with those NPC's storylines..if a book says they dies after the game they were in, then don't have them show up. If it says the character went to Rashamen after the game, don't have them just randomly show up near Baldur's Gate again. Remember..have some logical continuity. Oh, and I killed Drizzt twice already in BG1 and BG2..I don't want to have him show up for a 3rd kill! And don't bring back Elminster!

Boo

For Boo to stay alive he needs a host. When Boo bonds with someone he gives incredible strength to his host in exchance for intelligence which he uses to stay alive.

Think about Boo as an equiped item for a second.

Strength 18/63
Intelligence -5

If this is a prequel the PC could encounter Boo with a dying host and talk to Boo with the option of hosting Boo being presented. Regardless of the PC's decision it would explain Minsc and Boo in BG series and would also add a twist to the prequel.

All of this without mentioning a Palladin. How about picking any of the upper level members of the Order of the Radiant Heart and run into them on a quest for knighthood.

What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Nowhere.
Boo is a hamster, not a symbiosis.

I understand that Boo is a hamster and I have never read or heard anything about Boo and his stats.

This is also a game of imagination and thought. If Boo really is a giant space hamster this could be possible.

Well I believe it has been stated that the prospective BGIII will take place generations before the BG saga therefore limiting the playable NPC's from previous games to, let me se, NO ONE. So my question is why this conversation still even going on?
