Watchers Keep teleportation maze (slight spoilers?)

I am on the teleportation level of the Watcher's Keep, and I can't get to the lower levels. I have reached the point where I play the card game with the Cambion, but I can't get anywhere after that. I killed him once, and I played the game all the way through the second time, but I can't get through the portal. It says that I need something to get through, but I don't know what. I need to be spoiled.

You have to explore around the maze some more.
You should have picked up the rod of radiance from Yakman's stash, you need the three gems for it.
The cambion had one, the other two are in the hands of opposing daemons hidden in the maze.
Each group of daemons wants to kill the other. Use that to your advantage.

If not that, you might have dumped the helm wardstone in your pocket plane by mistake. (I did once)

This happend to me when i went there before finishing SoA with one of my games. I had the rod and the gems and they were together but I could not go through the portal to the next level. So I gave up and went back to my game that I finished SoA and went there after Saradush and it let me go through the portal.

I'm having the same trouble. I have the gems for the staff from the first demon and the gambling demon. I killed the second demon but cannot find his gems anywhere.
Suggestions?

Well, when I played, I haven't seen any advantages in THAT: I killed one group of demons then went to the other with a demon heart. The leader asked me theheart and gave me a reward. Then he shouted that I am a traitor and I had to kill him too!

Honestly it was not a difficult fight and I received some exp.

Yeah, I killed Tahazzer and had his heart and gem when I got to Ka'rashur's room. My character is a caval. and he hopped on me as soon as I entered the room. I whacked him and his crew but I can't find his gem.
Suggestions?

The 2nd Demon never asked me for the heart either. The walk through here on gamebanshee say that u can get the theives hood from one of them but i haven't found it yet.

Hah! In my game I was NG, and they both attacked me right off the bat.
In another game, I was TN, and it would be the first one I met would recruit me to kill the other.
Only in the latter case did I get the Theives Hood, I know realise.
