tob weapons

Whats is the best or best combination of weapons in tob???

I gave my ranger gram the sword of greif and got it buffed (sadly I got to kill about 4 things with it before the game ended! )

I found sace vs effect weapons good for rangers if you cast mallison before a fight then the rangers uses doom on his enemy it gets really mean.. -6 to save vs celestail fury stun, -12 to save vs gram lvl drain and so on and so forth

Does anyone else have favoured weapons or comboes for tob that they have found effective?

Flail of ages + Axe of unyielding
A very good killing combo!

Timestop + Improved Alacrity + any fine combination of resistance lowering and attacking spells. Then throw in any weapon you want, even a dead branch. It doesn't matter.

I used the Axe of the Unyielding and Foebane (+5) with my Beserker/Mage in my last game................... This guy never seemed to lose any hp's, it is a serious powergaming combo

I suspect you mean "poll," but a cheerleader's baton would do just as well. More seriously, magic isn't something you can divorce from melee or ranged attacks in the BG2 universe, certainly not by the time you reach ToB's high end attacks. A potently enchanted weapon is vital, but I don't think that any additional spells or abilities on it (with the exception of Dispel) are as important as spells that lower resistance and ranged attacks that dispel, stun or paralyze. Just my POV.

Pole!?!?! Bah! what am I talking about... btw if you know pls msg me or something couse I got less than no idea

Mages are a convenciance I hontestly dont think theres a place in bg or tob you cant just hack through with innates and cleric spells.. infact since storm on veangeance litterally stops all mages on the screen from casting I barely bother with mages any more

The only mage I can stand is the sorcerer, mages just pale compared to this guy..

Spoiler!??

BTW I have a major beef with Wizardly magic ever since I was going through watchers keep just after killing bodhi for the second time (four player party I recall) so my lvl was ok.. I wanted to get staff of the ram so I could uprade it as soon as I killed gromnir in tob, but I got bored of watchers keep a short while after lvl 2 was finished (I really had had enough with smelly old mind flayers in the underdark)
So I wander around amn nochalantly for a while trying to bring some closure to my romance wth Viconia... nothing happens so I think no worries, I just go to suldansellar then jump outside at the last minute and clua in all the dialogues before hitting tob
She REALLY didnt want to talk to me it seems, then apon wondering why my Bezerker druid was sounding a little feminine....turned out he was more than a little feminine
didnt save before it happened
DAMN YOU IMPS AND YOUR STINKING WILD SURGES!!!!!!!!
(btw if it turned out that could have just been dispelled, pls dont tell me couse I killed that game and id rather live in happy ignorance)
Now I hate mages.. all of them, in the words of valygar "there all cut from the same vile shroud"

Sorry about being off topic but I though and explanation was in order for my anti mage statement

Re most powerfull weapons

I should say i love my pure Kensai with his Blackrazor and Equalizer.

This may not be ToB weapons, but he deals some damn much damage
