To Dual or not

Okay, I just imported my character from BG1 to play through BG2 again (I've never played through the whole series with one character), and I'm considering dual-classing.
My character is a level 8 Lawful Evil Cleric.
Stats are as follows:
Str: 11
Dex: 17
Con: 13
Int: 10
Wis: 20 (thank you, tomes of wisdom!)
Chr: 10
As such, I'm limited to dualing to a thief. However, I've already played through BG2 with a thief, and I wouldn't be averse to using Shadowkeeper to make my character eligible to dual into another class (just by moving points around, not by adding any, mind you). I was thinking of dualling into a Sorceror, but it looks like that's impossible, regardless of stats.
So, my questions:
1) Is it possible to dual into a sorceror, either with some option I missed or with a mod?
2) Are wild mages fun to play, is it possible to dual into one, and how much int would I need to do so?
3) Is it even worth it to dual at all? What would you do with this character?

Thumbs up Welcome aboard, LizardWizard

First of all, welcome to GameBanshee forums, Lizard (if you don't me calling you that for short).

Now, about your questions...

1) Normally, you can't dual-class into a sorceror w/ the normal game (including the expansion) OR with the patch installed. As I honestly am unfamiliar with the mods, I don't know which one would allow that. Just thought I'd clear part of the matter.

2) Also, normally you can't dual to kits (except w/ a mod for the Shadows's of Amn portion of the game which I can't recall the name of), but if you want to dual to a mage, you have to have 17 Int at the least. Quite a stretch, isn't it?

3) That cleric of yours practically sounds best on it's own. If you give him the right High-Level Abilities (those bonus spells you can learn passed level 22), and cast the right buff spells on him (depends upon the situation), he can last pretty well in the long run.

Hope this all helps. Good luck.

Hmm. Okay, I think I've decided to go for a Cleric/Wild Mage by messing around with Shadow Keeper. First, I dropped my con by 3 and dex by 4 and raised my int by 7 so I could dual to a mage. After dualling to a (generic) mage, I went into shadowkeeper and changed myself into a wild mage (and thereby lost my priest of talos kit). I don't really care about the priest of talos kit, so I'm happy with this if it really works. Does anyone who has experience using Shadow Keeper foresee problems with just changing some attribute values and the "kit" field?

By the way, thanks for the info, Galuf.

Should work. I've never tried that particular combination but I don't see any problems with it.
